Projects

Rethinking the Saint Lawrence Seaway (Supervised Independent Study; ongoing) is a research project funded in part by the Bram Garber Arts Undergraduate Research Internship Award, as well as an independent study supervised by Dr. Darin Barney. The project contextualizes the displacement of Kahnawa:ke’s residents through an analysis of media coverage contemporary to the Seaway’s construction, and reframes the discussion surrounding the Seaway using emerging critical literature on settler-colonial infrastructures.
